Insert an Image into a Page

Insert Image into an Image Field

You can insert images into a content area in a publishing page just as you can a wiki page with one additional option to get the image from SharePoint. This is described in the next section. It is also common for a page layout to contain predefined fields for images. To add an image into an image field:

 

1. Click Click here to insert a picture from SharePoint PageImageField.png

2. The Edit Image Properties dialog displays. Click Browse.​ SelectImage.png

3. Browse to the image you want and clcik OK.​ SelectAnAsset.png
 

 

Inserting an Image into a Content Area

To add an image to a page:
​1. Position the cursor where you want the image
2. Select the Insert tab from the Editing Tools section
3. Click the Picture button and select either
  • From Computer (if uploading a new image)
  • From Address (if you want to specify a hyperlink to an existing image)
  • From SharePoint (if you want to select an image that is already in the site)

If you choose From Computer:

1. Browse to the image
2. Specify the destination within your site
3. Click OK

If you choose From Address:​
1. Spcify the URL to the image
2. Provide the Alternative Text
3. Click OK

If you choose From SharePoint the Select an Asset dialog displays. Browse to the image you want and clcik OK.
