Create a List or Library 

To create a new list or library:

1. Select Site Actions|More Options
2. The Create dialog opens. Select the type of filter the available selections to either Lists or Libraries.
3a. Select the desired list template, enter a name and click create.

3b. Alternatively, select the item type and click More Options to configure additional options while creating the list. This allows you to specify that the list displays on the quick launch for example.
